Thank you for visiting the official website of Salvador Mendoza, Jr. for Benton & Franklin County Superior Court Judge. I hope that you will browse these pages to learn more about my family, my candidacy, my experience, and myself.
Over a decade of legal experience has allowed me to receive a 360-degree perspective of the legal system by working as a deputy prosecutor, as a defense attorney, as a civil plaintiff and respondent attorney, and as a Judge Pro-Tempore. As a former Deputy Prosecutor, I prosecuted everything from Misdemeanors to Class A Felonies, making sure our community was protected and those who had committed crimes were prosecuted. As an Assistant Attorney General, I worked to ensure that children were not being abused or neglected. Also, as a Judge Pro-Tempore in Superior Court, Juvenile Court, District Court, and Municipal Court, I exercised the right judgment and demeanor that this awesome responsibility requires.
I also bring my unique set of skills and life experiences to this position. As a small farmer, I understand the value of hard work for little pay. As a small business owner, I understand the struggles of many small businesses to make payroll, to pay employee insurance and to work long hours. I come from a very proud Latino community with a strong set of family values.
Please vote in the primary on August 19 and in the general election on November 4, 2008.
